Meerut: A 22-year-old woman was allegedly abducted and gangraped by four youths at gunpoint in Daurala area here, police said on Monday.

The victim, who had gone to attend the nature's call in a nearby jungle, was abducted at gunpoint and taken to a nearby vacant house where the four youths gangraped her on the night of December 25, said Daurala SHO Janak Singh Pundir.

The accused released her the next morning, threatening to kill her entire family if she told about the incident to anyone.

The woman, however, told her family who then complained to the police.

A case was on Monday registered against absconding accused, Amit, Vikas, Balkar and Ankit, the SHO said, adding that the girl has been sent for medical examination.
