Hyderabad: 2 die as car hits truck on Outer Ring Road

Hyderabad: Two people were killed on the spot in a road mishap when their car hit a lorry on Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Velimela on Thursday.

The deceased are Zaheer, 36, a resident of Tadbund and Sayyed Shakeel, 32, a paan shop owner at a hotel near Muthangi in Sangareddy district.

Police said the two were going towards Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGI) in Shamshabad from Muthangi when their car hit a lorry from the rear at Velimela village.

“The car was being driven at excessive speed and they were killed on the spot before medical help could be given. Zaheer was driving while Shakeel was in the front seat beside him,” said Bhanur police officials.

The dead bodies were shifted to the Area Hospital in Patancheru for post-mortem examination and a case was registered under Section 304A (death through negligence) of the Indian Penal Code by Bhanur police.
