Hyderabad: Conman held for cheating students

Hyderabad: Kukatpally Housing Board police on Wednesday arrested a man who duped two students of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (Hyderabad) by offering to make them pass in the examinations in lieu of money.

Police said they received two complaints from students G. Saichand and Venkata Krishna Reddy that one Mr Sivaramakrishna, who posed as an employee with the administrative wing of another engineering college in Dundigal, cheated them after taking money under the pretext of ensuring them pass marks in the examinations using his influence.

“When the students contacted Mr Sivaramakrishna, he tried to avoid them. He is an unemployed man who impersonated as an employee of an engineering college. He has been booked for cheating and arrested,” said KPHB inspector Ch Kushalkar.
