Hyderabad: Pradeep Kumar Manukonda, a software engineer, who was accused by Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg of stalking him, his girlfriend and his sister, has moved the Hyderabad High Court seeking police protection for himself and his family members.

He claimed that he has been facing a threat to his life from the Facebook management as he was aware of the “security architecture and loopholes” of the popular social networking website.

He said earlier he had attended an interview at the Facebook Data Centre for the cyber-security analyst position in the US, and during the interview, he had brought to the notice of the management, about the loopholes.

He alleged that since then, the management has been trying to spread rumours that he has connections with Al Qaeda. He told the court that he had made a representation to the police authorities seeking security cover, even on payment basis, but there was no response from them.

Justice Vilas V. Afzulpurkar asked the counsel for the Telangana home department to get instructions from the authorities and place it before the court on December 30.
