The streets of Charminar saw a number of enthusiastic people take part in the Inter-generational Walk where juniors (below 50) and seniors (above 50) participated. The main idea was to get the two generations together through history. It was in association with the Dobara Foundation that Hyderabad Trails could gather around 70 history learners for the informative walk.

Mateen Ansari (co-founder and director Dobara 2nd Innings) shares, “The elders wanted to get back to these colorful busy streets of Charminar and wanted to relive the memories of the past and experience the night walk, and so Hyderabad trails worked to make it happen.”





The founder of Hyderabad trails, Gopal Krishnan, led the group through the bylanes, and shared stories of the Nizams. Gathering in front of Charminar, everyone discussed the idea behind the iconic structure. Almost all the seniors had different stories to tell. Later the troupe proceeded towards Mecca Masjid via Laad Bazaar. The maulvi at Mecca Masjid further enlightened the group about it’s auspiciousness.

Not only veterans but people also on wheelchair came down for the walk. “It was overwhelming to see the crowd give way to the people on wheelchairs and even some offered a helping hand,” shares Priya, a volunteer from Hyderabad Trails.
