On the release day, Ravi Teja's Kick 2 did not get very good reviews. Surender Reddy and Ravi Teja have been getting flak for the lackluster film as the audiences had very high expectations from the sequel to Kick.

However, the film did get decent openings, though it could not sustain it in the following week. Though it did make Rs 16 crores in the first week, now it appears that it might not cross more than Rs 20 crore mark.

And the production cost of the film has been high leading to losses to the producer Nandamuri Kalyanram.

On one hand, Ravi Teja missed out on a hat-trick after Balupu and Power, Surender Reddy has missed out on a back to back hit and for Kalyranram, the film is an official disaster.
