Bharath is the latest to join horror bandwagon

With almost every actor including Hansika and Trisha being ready to turn ghostly for the current flavour of K’town —the horror genre — now the actors also want to take a plunge and experiment. Lawrence was the first to test the waters with his Kanchana series. More recently, Srikanth opted to play a ghost in his upcoming horror thriller Sowacarpettai.

Now, young Bharath has gone on board for a horror genre flick Pottu, where he will be seen in a scary avatar. “If I am convinced with the script, I am game for any kind of experimentation with my looks or character,” says Hansika who started the trend of essaying a ghost in her recent blockbuster Aranmanai and is gearing up for its sequel.

A few months ago, Trisha was brought on board for her first-ever horror genre film Nayaki that is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual. “Yes, it’s a heroine-centric horror comedy. I always wanted to do a horror film and I liked this script a lot.” Though she was not quite forthcoming about whether she appears as a ghost, the first look posters of Nayaki where Trisha sports a smile on her face and a knife in her hand, created a buzz.

Set in the backdrop of a medical college, Bharath’s new movie will be directed by Vadivudayan. Sources say that talks are on with a top heroine to play Bharath’s love interest. Saravanan, Karunas, Singam Puli, Suman and Urvasi are in the supporting cast, while actor Amrish, who is rising as a musician will compose the music.
