Rajamouli cleared the air by saying that the duration would be around 2 hrs 50 min. Rajamouli, editor and the team must have taken so much care to keep the run time below 3 hours.

It would be interesting to see how many war sequences have been squeezed into this runtime as people are expecting grander and bigger spectacle from the conclusion.
