Ajay turns baddie for Akhil Akkineni’s next

After his debut film Akhil bombed at the box-office, actor Akhil Akkineni took more than a year and a half to finalise his next. It was only earlier this month that his second film, to be helmed by Manam director Vikram Kumar went on floors. Apparently, actor Ajay, who has been a favourite of Vikram’s and has played important roles in his films Ishq and 24, will star in the film as the prime antagonist.

“It’s a very interesting role and Vikram felt it was perfectly suited for Ajay. The duo share a great bond as Vikram’s films have always proved to be a career boost for the latter. He willingly agreed to be a part of the film,” shares a source, adding that the actor has begun shooting for the film. Meanwhile, Vikram is said to have written a very interesting characterisation for Akhil, as the actor is looking to appease the audience after his first venture failed.
