Gautami Tadimalla keen to star in Telugu films

Gautami Tadimalla has got an elaborate filmography across Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam cinema. However, the actress who’s got roots in Telugu land (she hails from Nidadavolu) was seen in a Telugu film Manamantha after a gap of nearly 20 years in which she co-starred with Mohanlal. And we hear that the film has ignited her wish to star in more Telugu films.

“While she took a complete break from films after her marriage in 1998, she eventually did come back into the industry and appeared in a few films in between. She has also done styling. However, after Papanasam (2015) and Manamantha (2016), Gautami has got into the groove with two Malayalam films in the pipeline, and she’s really keen to keep going,” reveals a source in the know.

Apparently, Gautami met a couple of Telugu filmmakers recently to discuss the possibility of teaming up. “As much as she wants to do a lot of work across industries, she is very keen to be part of Telugu cinema considering it is her mother tongue. She had been based out of Chennai all these years and coming back to Telugu cinema was like reconnecting with her roots. She is surely here to stay,” adds the source, informing that she’s likely to sign something interesting pretty soon.
