Wedding bells will soon be ringing in Nagarjuna’s family as Naga Chaitanya is finally all set to tie the knot with girlfriend and fiancée, Samantha Ruth Prabhu on October 6.

Confirming the date, the soft-spoken Chay says, “Yes, our wedding is on October 6. We didn’t get a chance to announce the date as it was revealed on stage at an awards function.”

On rumours about him and Samantha having told their parents that they would fund their own wedding, Chay clarifies, “Why would we do that? Our wedding is an occasion of great joy for our families. My father would be very hurt if I was to make such a suggestion. Both our families are collectively taking part in all the events.”

The couple is in two minds as to where the wedding should take place. “We could have the wedding right here in Hyderabad where all our family and friends are. Or have a destination wedding in Goa where we wouldn’t invite many people,” he says.

At the moment, the Goan alternative seems to have an upper hand since both he and Samantha are shy individuals. “We don’t enjoy too much attention. So, a select guest list at the wedding would be more our thing. However, we have to keep family sentiments in mind and take a call accordingly,” he explains.

The one thing that he is absolutely certain about is that Samantha will continue with her career post marriage. “Whether she chooses to do one film or ten is entirely her choice. But she will continue with her career after marriage,” says the actor.
