Promising line-up of projects for Poonam Kaur

Even though we have seen Poonam Kaur in a guest role in Trisha-starrer Nayagi, the actress is getting back to playing the female lead after nearly two years. She played the female lead in Achaaram which released in 2015.

Poonam has signed a Tamil film with a quirky title Nandu En Nanban which has Jithan Ramesh playing the hero. Speaking to DC, she says, “In the movie, I share screen space with a crab, which plays an important role. I essay the role of a marine lecturer and will start shooting for the flick from the first week of September. “She also adds that director Andal Ramesh will be getting the help of leading CG artists to make the crab look realistic.

Apart from this flick, the Payanam actress plays a pivotal role in director Kunal Kohli’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual featuring Tamannaah and Sundeep Kishan in the lead roles. “I play the second lead in this untitled film and have wrapped up my portions as well. I’m looking forward to the release of the film,” she adds.

Poonam is also concerned about the diminishing culture and crafts of India. We hear that she has been meeting several bureaucrats to talk about this dying art.
Poonam’s previous projects include Nenjirukum Varai, Unnai Pol Oruvan among others.
