Maari sequel to be a bilingual

Actor-producer-director Dhanush had evinced interest to make his last release, VIP 2, as a bilingual film in Tamil and Telugu. However, it did not materialise. But it seems that the actor is adamant to make it work with his next film. Dhanush has announced that the sequel of Maari (Maas in Telugu) will be simultaneously made in both the languages. If things do work out, the film will mark Dhanush’s straight entry into Tollywood.

“Dhanush has been keen to tap the Telugu market ever since Raghuvaran B.Tech proved to be a success. However, things didn’t quite fall into place earlier. This time around, he is keen to go all out for the Telugu release too,” reveals a source in the know.

An official announcement regarding the same was made on Thursday. The film will be produced by the actor’s home banner, Wunderbar Films.
