Harish Uthaman is unrecognisable!

Actor Harish Uthaman is quite excited about his role in the upcoming film C/o Surya as he has never played a character that demanded such a transformation. So unrecognisable was he in his new avatar that many who saw the trailer were left surprised to know that it was him who is playing the antagonist. “To not look like me was the idea behind the look. Director Suseenthiran made it clear that he didn’t want to see any reflection of the usual me in the character,” he shares.

Interestingly, the look took two days to perfect, after a series of trials where several hairstyles and attires were experimented with. And it sure seems to have worked. “At a recent promotional event, cinematographer Chota K. Naidu garu was sitting by my side and asked me what I was doing at the event and I told him that I am part of the film. He was taken aback! He didn’t recognise me in the trailer. And this often happened on the sets too. I would be sitting there and no one would recognise me,” recalls Harish, who adds, “As an actor, you always crave for variety and try something new. You want your characters to stand out and attract attention. This role has surely given me a sense of satisfaction.”
