Kunchacko Boban has been named the ambassador of Suchitwa Mission in Alappuzha. The actor, who hails from the place, would work towards raising public awareness, disseminate the message of cleanliness, ensure mass participation to stop open defecation and ensure clean environment of the town. Reports say that he will be appointed prior to the Swachh Survekshan 2018, a survey conducted as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission, which attempts to capture the progress of Suchitwa Mission in the town, including collection and transportation of municipal solid waste, sanitation related progress, waste management, maintenance of community and public toilets.

Swachh Survekshan was started in 2016 with an aim to evaluate 500 cities on national level and mark the progress in the cleanliness mission. Kunchacko, who was seen latest in Shikkari Shabhu, will play the lead in Kuttanadan Marpappa, directorial debut of Sreejith Vijayan. He is also one of the lead actors in Ramesh Pisharody’ Panchavarnathatha.
