Deepika Padukone’s apparent nod to the Shakun Batra film bankrolled by Karan Johar has her calendar in a tizzy. The feature film is said to be a dark romance.

“It is a romance on the lines of Tamasha, but it is said to be much darker. Deepika has liked the subject and was keen to work on it. After Shakun’s web series on Osho did not move, he put together this film idea for which Deepika has given the nod,” says a source.




On the other hand, Deepika is also said to be working on a light-hearted romantic film with Ranbir Kapoor, which is Luv Ranjan’s next. The actress also has to work on the release of both her ready projects – Chhapaak as well as ’83. Chhapaak releases on January 10, 2020, while ’83 releases on April 10, 2020.

“In between that she has to shoot one of the films, and then shoot for the other after the promotion of ’83 ends. So her dates in the first few months of 2020 is going to be really tight,” adds the source.
