Sanya stays busy

Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra is enjoying all the extra time in the ongoing lockdown reading scripts and listening to new ideas.

She is one of the few actors who has nothing on the floors at the moment, but she has three films in various stages of post-production — they just need to be edit locked, sound mixed and colour corrected before making it to the big screen.

“Sanya has been pretty active on the work front, listening to ideas with a fresh mind. Of course, releases will be the last thing on Bollywood’s mind as they will grapple first with how to start work and employ the lakhs of workers and talent that is sitting idle at home now, keeping social distancing norms. Sanya has finished shooting for three movies Pagglait, Ludo and Shakuntala Devi: Human-Computer that are slated for release once the theatres open,” say sources.

While Pagglait has been directed by Umesh Bisht and produced by Guneet Monga and Ekta Kapoor, Ludo is being made by Anurag Basu and produced by Bhushan Kumar, and Shakuntala Devi: Human-Computer has been bankrolled by Vikram Malhotra and directed by Anu Menon.
