Mumbai: Though producer Boney Kapoor is candid enough to admit that his lavish masala dossier 'Tevar' has not been the success it was expected to, he poohpoohs all reports of a fall-out with the Tevar director Amit Sharma.

“These fall-out fables are meant to sensationalize a routine occurrence in the film industry. A film not doing so well is not a big deal. Amit worked hard on Tevar. But it has underperformed,” says Boney, dismissing stories that suggest Amit has been sacked from the direction of a film called 'Daku Sultan'.

“That was one of the projects we were discussing. Amit is part of our production organization. He will direct films for me as long as he wants. Years ago I had given Satish Kaushik a break as a director in 'Prem He' then made 'Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai' , 'Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja' and 'Milenge Milenge' for us. 'Roop Ki Rani'... was a disaster. But we continued working together. Relationships don’t get ruined just because a film doesn’t work.”

This year Boney has several projects on hand. “We first have Anees Bazmi’s 'No Entry Mein Entry' with Salman Khan followed by Sridevi’s film. And yes, I am definitely doing another film with my son Arjun, and with Amit Sharma. There is no truth to reports that Amit and I had creative differences over the climax of 'Tevar'.”
