Ranji trophy: Hyderabad in a strong position on day three

Earlier on Wednesday, Hyderabad bowlers did well to bowl out the opponents for 188. C. V. Milind and Akash Bhandari picked three wickets each.
However, Chhattisgarh bowlers came back hard as Pankaj Rao and Abhishek T. ripped Hyderabad’s batting line by picking four wickets each. Akash Bhandari was batting on 29 when stumps were drawn.
Tanmay hit, is fine
Meanwhile, Hyderabad opener Tanmay Agarwal was taken to hospital after being hit on the head while fielding on Wednesday. Tanmay was fielding at forward short leg when Manoj Singh’s pull against off spinner Mehdi Hasan found his helmet. According to information received, he remained conscious but was stretchered off the field.
He had retired after the injury and later came into bat. However, he was dismissed before close of play. The 24-year-old was later taken to the hospital where he was advised a scan after a preliminary check up and he is doing fine now.
Benjamin Thomas came out to open in place of Tanmay, who had scored 39 in the first innings.
