City’s couture has got a vibrant makeover with the grand Independence Day celebrations. It is Tricolour everywhere, from packed interiors of innumerable apparel and accessories showrooms to the smart vendors on the roadsides.

Shops are decked up with the Tricolour, while fashion designers are exploring new tinge of patriotism in their trendy clothing line. Even the demand for accessories in tricolour has gone up as 75the Independence Day is around.

Alka Manaoj, a city-based fashion designer, who sensed the demand for Tricolour outfits, came up with a clothing collection especially for this Independence Day. “There has been a great demand for tricoloured sarees and dresses, traditional tops and bottoms for women with the designs of national flag, waistcoats and kurtas for men. This year, most of the people will be dressed up in traditional clothing with hues of the national flag,” he said.

Mohammed Zubair, of Khaja Bangles and Jewellers, Lad Bazaar, Charminar, said, “On the 75th Independence Day, we have come up with tricolour accessories, the colours we used are of India flag. For the last 10 days, there has been a high demand for these accessories. The bangles in this market are world famous, and now, women select tricolour bangles as Independence Day is approaching.”
