Vulgar 'Rana Naidu' Fails To Top The List

The web series 'Rana Naidu' received significant backlash from viewers due to its explicit content and dialogues, particularly in scenes featuring Venkatesh in the lead role.

Despite the assumption that such vulgarity would boost its popularity, the series failed to perform as expected on the OTT platform.

The makers of 'Rana Naidu' anticipated an A+ response, but the series scored only 108 points, placing it in ninth position, while the leading series 'The Glory' received 781 points.

Although it was believed that sexual content would drive the series to the top spot, 'Rana Naidu' proved otherwise.

Nevertheless, it can be considered a passing mark for the series to move on to its next season as it has garnered viewership not only in India but also in countries such as Bahrain, Qatar, Maldives, Dubai, Sri Lanka, Oman, Mauritius, and Kuwait.

The fact that lead actor Rana appealed to viewers not to watch the series with their families actually became a promotional tool, as many viewers chose to watch it alone.

Despite the series' negative reception, Venkatesh appears unfazed and is reportedly eager to begin filming the next season.

The actor's remuneration for the series is twice as much as what he earns for films.
