Shashank Khaitan, who made a successful debut with Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, is teaming up once again with Varun Dhawan. A take on Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the film was loved by both critics and audiences. And now the director has another subject for which he wants to rope in Varun again.

A source revealed, “Shashank has another subject, an interesting love story, which he has shared with Varun. The two hit it off very well while making Humpty Sharma. The director and actor have met and discussed the project at length.”

We hear Varun has given his nod to this film and the other aspects will soon be worked out. Shashank, who prefers to write the script of films, wants to take some time before freezing the final draft. The film will tentatively go on floors mid next year.

As of now, Varun is in LA shooting for Remo D’souza’s ABCD 2. There are rumours that Alia will be paired once again with Varun but as of now the leading lady is not yet decided.
