Actress Shilpa Shirodkar has revealed that she missed the opportunity to perform the iconic song Chaiyya Chaiyya opposite Shah Rukh Khan because choreographer Farah Khan felt she had not lost enough weight for the role

Speaking on Indias Best Dancer Season 05 Shilpa said Farah Khan gave her 15 days to reduce her weight before the shoot She followed a strict diet of boiled vegetables but according to Farah she had not lost enough weight and was replaced by Malaika Arora

Shilpa admitted that she was overweight at the time but clarified that she was not 100 kilos as some people claimed She said Farah later told her that she was still too fat for the song

Judge Geeta Kapur who was working as an assistant during the making of the song confirmed that she had witnessed the incident

Host Haarsh Limbachiyaa praised Shilpa for her honesty and appreciated her for openly sharing the experience
