Nayanthara is reportedly asking actor Satyadev to be replaced with a more prominent face.

For the record, Nayanthara has been roped in for Chiranjeevi’s Godfather in which she will be essaying the Chief Minister’s daughter. Tollywood actor Satyadev was selected to play her husband.

Satyadev is an upcoming actor who is slowly making his mark in the industry whereas Nayanthara is one heroine who can command openings solely on the strength of her name.

Therefore, with all due respect to Satyadev, she is justified in asking for an actor befitting her stature. She is not at that stage where she needs to do a film solely for money.

In Tollywood, heroines like Kajal Agarwal, Tamannah and Rakul Preet acted opposite Bellamkonda Srinivas only for the paycheck when he was an absolute nobody back then.

Even Vijay Devarakonda was cast opposite Samantha for a cameo in Mahanati. But that was because he had tasted success in the form of Arjun Reddy or else the makers would have probably cast him as Samantha’s younger brother.

Even for the big screen therefore, the concept of ‘eedu-jodu’ is relevant.
