Mumbai: Bhushan Kumar's 'Roy' has managed to grab quite a few eyeballs with their suspense filled trailer. The film helmed by debutant director Vikramjit Singh also features Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez. In the trailer, the words 'A thief' appear on screen when Ranbir Kapoor's image is flashed across the screen. Though it does give out a brief outline of the characters, it doesn't give away the plot.

Bhushan Kumar expresses his views about Ranbir Kapoor's character, "Ranbir Kapoor's role in Roy is something that he hasn't done so far. Roy will showcase him in a new avtaar and he plays a title role. Its a 'special role' and he has already banked bytes for TV channels during the making of Roy. We wont require him to get into aggressive promotions of the film. So he wont be traveling with us for promotions. He has assured that he will publicise the film as and when we want. But right now, like Aamir's PK, we want to retain a few elements of Ranbir's role in Roy until the release of the film for the audience,"
