Vijayawada: The Union government has reacted positively on state government’s important proposal of 180 kilometer outer ring road (ORR) project around the proposed capital city area in Vijayawada which would cost Rs 19,700 crore.

The union minister for road and transport highways and shipping Nitin Gadkari accepted that his ministry may consider the proposal for financial assistance of the project. MP Kesineni Nani released minister Gadkari’s letter to the media here on Sunday.

The state government had submitted the estimations and proposals to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for financial assistance.
