Hyderabad: The Private bus operators and the State-run Road Transport Corporation will face the heat if they abnormally jack up the ticket fares during the ensuing Sankranti festival season.
AP transport minister S. Raghava Rao conducted a meeting with the private bus operators and officials of the APSRTC on Tuesday and directed them not to fleece the passengers during the festival season.
He asked them to charge the regular fare even during the weekends. The minister said severe action will be taken against bus operators if they charge more during the festival season.
