Chennai: Terming the 2017 Budget the best one for ensuring better India, the State unit of the BJP on Wednesday said the Budget breaks from the past tradition, as Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley presented the “historic Budget” merging the railway budget.

“This has been done for the first time in Independent India. This is a pioneering effort. Through this people’s taxes to the tune of Rs 10,000 crore have been saved,” says Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan, BJP state president.

This ideal Budget, she claimed, is an instance of how Prime Minister Narendra Modi attracted the people through his pro-people initiatives.
