Son Got Job, Not The Unemployed

During the 2014 elections, one of the major slogans in campaigning by the Telugu Desam Party was: “Jaabu kaavalente Babu raavali” (Vote Babu to power, if you want a job).
This has worked wonders and lakhs of unemployed youth who had immense faith in the administrative capabilities of TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, had voted for him and his party to power.
However, in the last three years, the slogan has not translated into action. There has been no recruitment drive in the state and lakhs of posts remained unfilled, thanks to financial crisis in the state.
“The only person who got any job during Naidu regime was his son Lokesh Babu. He got the MLC job, while lakhs of youth remained unemployed. We never expected it,” YSR Congress party legislator R K Roja criticised on Wednesday.
She pointed out that the government had miserably failed to provide unemployment allowance to the youth, which Naidu had promised before 2014 elections.
She also pointed out that the government had promised to construct two lakh houses for weaker sections every year and the chief minister should reveal how many houses his government had constructed.
Roja also castigated Naidu for neglecting women development. There is no safety for women in the Naidu regime and the DWCRA women groups were not getting any loans, leave alone loan waivers, she alleged.
