Hyderabad: A private sector employee staying at a hostel in KPHB, took naked photos and videos of other residents on her smartphone and shared it with her boss. One of the residents who found her behaviour suspicious, examined her mobile phone when she was asleep, and was shocked to see hundreds of naked photos and videos of her and other residents in it which were shared through WhatsApp. Cyberabad police nabbed the woman and her boss Alapati Shiva.

The suspect woman, aged around 30, was a telecaller at Hyma Consultancy owned by Alapati Shiva. There are around 60 women at the hostel. Since some months she had been recording the inmates while they changed clothes or took bath. On Sunday, the complainant working as a pharma executive, saw the suspect woman behaving abnormally while she changed clothes and questioned her. But she denied doing anything fishy.

However, after she slept, the victim with the help of others, checked the suspect's mobile and found naked images and videos of her in it. She was more shocked when she checked her WhatsApp. She found the videos were shared with one Shivaiah. Based on her complaint police registered a case. Police found the victim worked in the same company for about five months a year ago. She left the company and joined a pharma firm. Police found the suspect woman, a graduate, had also created a Facebook page in the name of a woman staying at the hostel.

“We suspect she was planning to upload the content on Facebook at the behest of her boss,” Cyberabad cybercrime ACP S. Jayaram said. The police is also investigating if the suspect planned to blackmail the victim and extort money. The suspects were remanded.
