BJP flays AIADMK, DMK for negative campaign

Chennai: The BJP on Sunday accused both the AIADMK and DMK of indulging in a negative campaign and said time is now appropriate for the people to throw out both the parties.
Campaigning for her party’s candidate Gangai Amaran, popular film music director at Old Washermenpet, BJP state president Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan lashed out at both Dravidian majors saying, “Both factions of the AIADMK and also the opposition DMK have been indulging in a war of attrition hoping to gain political mileage.”
“They do not seem to be concerned about the people but are merely targeting each other,” she said adding that the time was appropriate to throw out both the parties desperate for power.
But unlike them, the BJP was more concerned about the well-being of the people,” she claimed. At Kasimedu, accompanied by Amaran, Dr. Tamilisai appealed to fishermen to elect the BJP candidate for development.
“I may go around like an individual but leaders like our dynamic Prime Minister Narendra Modi want to ensure development. So, I would utilise the good offices of the Prime Minister and bring more developmental projects to the constituency,” Amaran said.
Later in the evening, Dr Tamilisai launched the saffron party’s android app to take up the by-election campaign onto a digital platform. This targets all android mobile users.
“Anyone can download this free app. A short video clipping which will play will seek votes for our candidate Gangai Amaran after explaining why they should vote BJP,” the state secretary of BJP, Karu Nagarajan, told this correspondent.
This is the first time that the BJP is coming up with a unique ‘android’ campaign for the party.
