Six lakh IT jobs will be created in 2 years, says Nara Lokesh

Vijayawada: Minister for IT and panchayat raj Nara Lokesh has said six lakh jobs will be created in IT and electronic manufacturing industries in the coming two years. Lokesh inaugurated the KJ Systems and medical records firm at Executive Club Circle here on Tuesday. Addressing the media, he said the TD government is duty-bound to fulfil its election promises and it will create more employment opportunities for the state’s youth.

He said he met various cellphone manufacturers and requested them to establish their units in the state. “I personally took care of Foxconn, as the chief minister was unavailable at that time. Foxconn had started its operations now and around 9,000 women were employed in its unit at Sri City,” said Mr Lokesh.
