Nara Lokesh hopeful of IT revolution

Vijayawada: Minister for panchayat raj and IT Nara Lokesh said that he will try to bring four more reputed IT companies to Andhra Pradesh before completing 100 days tenure as minister. He launched the offline video sharing app Tone flix app designed with Swedish technology here on Tuesday and said that he was happy to witness the fourth industrial revolution.

Mr Lokesh said that it took 40 years to develop Singapore and Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is planning to develop Amaravati within 15 years with the help of technological advancements. He said that all departments will soon come under real-time governance.

Fibre grid programme got delayed due to technical problems in digital set-top boxes and will soon give Internet and cable TV connection for Rs 149, the minister said.
Meanwhile, Mr Lokesh insisted upon utilising the technology to solve problems. Speaking at the 40th annual meeting of Diploma Engineers Association of the panchayat raj department, Mr Lokesh said the newly introduced ‘alert management system’ proved to be very effective in addressing the people’s issues at the village level.

The system enables the officials to identify the problems and respond to them immediately, the minister said. The officials should get their hands on using alert management system and the drinking water issues should be resolved within two to four days time, said Mr Lokesh.
