Happenings in AIADMK can be drama: S Ramadoss

Chennai: PMK founder S. Ramadoss on Wednesday wondered if the happenings within the ruling AIADMK is a drama even as he demanded the resignation of CM Palanisami since he did not have the efficiency or capability to solve the problems of Tamil Nadu people.
He pointed out that the AIADMK ministers had submitted affidavits to the EC with the names of V.K. Sasikala as general secretary and T.T.V. Dhinakaran as deputy general secretary. Since no minister would act against Sasikala or Dhinakaran, everything could be a drama, he opined.
If Dhinakaran announced that his MLAs would withdraw support, the government would immediately fall. “But chances for such an eventuality appear remote since all the happenings look to be drama”, he commented. Recalling that it was Dhinakaran who took Palanisami to Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao to stake a claim for forming the government, he said Dhinakaran was instrumental in getting finance ministry to D. Jayakumar and school education ministey to K.A. Sengottaiyan.
When there was a demand to sack health minister C. Vijayabaskar, it was TTV who saved him, Ramadoss reminded. He pointed out that 25 MLAs had met Dhinakaran, even after the announcement of Jayakumar that there is no link between the AIADMK and TTV and the number is only likely to increase.
“Since the MLAs met TTV after Palanisami’s direction to meet him, it will mean that the CM does not have their support”. Even if the happenings are a drama, Palanisami had no locus standi to continue in office as he failed in many issues like stopping hydrocarbon project and the ban on cattle sale for slaughter, he said.
