Aadhaar card must to answer UGC Net 2017 exams

Hyderabad: CBSE has made Aadhaar card mandatory for registration in National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2017 scheduled to be held on November 5, 2017. Candidates need to enter the details of the Aadhaar card along with other personal details like date of birth and gender while applying for the UGC NET 2017 exam this year.

Aadhaar obviates the need for producing multiple documents to prove one’s identity, reads the notice by CBSE.

According to the CBSE, this amendment will establish the identity of the applicant at the time of the registration and the Board will get all the required and accurate information about the candidate through Aadhaar details.

According to CBSE, 3.2 lakh applicants do not have an Aadhaar card yet and are required to apply for one immediately if they wish to appear for the National Eligibility Test.
