Police found that earlier Rachakonda additional DCP Pulinder Reddy went to victim Abu Bakr's residence and threatened him for returns from the land on which he had not invested a penny.
Police found that before July 25, Pulinder Reddy and his men went to Bakr’s residence in Puppalguda. Bakr has two cars, one for his use and one for his wife. Knowing that Bakr’s car was not at home they went in and threatened his wife but she said that that she was not aware of the issue. The next morning SI Rajashekar and constable Lakshmi Narayana picked up Bakr and brought him to the police station, where he was kept till 11 at night. He was severely beaten and forced to sign on blank cheques.
Bakr and Pulinder Reddy belong to Zaheerabad in Sangareddy district and Bakr had approached Pulinder for help.
Two farmers made a sale agreement for their land in Muthangi village to one Mujeeb, who paid Rs 10 lakh advance, but failed to pay the full amount in time. Later, Abu Bakr, Pulinder’s daughter Aishwarya and Abdullah made a sale agreement and Bakr paid Rs 10 lakh as advance, but they also failed to pay the balance in time. Meanwhile, Bakr’s friends Ravinder Reddy and Gangadhar Reddy purchased the land and completed registration for around Rs 80 lakh. They also paid Rs 250 lakh as goodwill to Mujeeb and another Rs 25 lakh to Bakr as goodwill and around Rs 15 lakh to illegal residents on the land to avoid trouble. On learning this, Pulinder demanded Rs 60 lakh from Bakr saying that due to him they lost the land and the profits on it.
