Puri-Lokmanya Tilak Express takes wrong route

Bhubaneshwar: Passengers of Puri-Lokmanya Tilak Express on Wednesday narrowly escaped a mishap as the Mumbai-bound train took a wrong route from Raja Athagarh station and was made to divert back to Dhenkanal due to alleged negligence of station master.

The Railways suspended the station master for dereliction of duty following a prima facie report.

After taking the wrong track, the train ran for nearly one kilometre till Radhakishorepur from where it was diverted back to Dhenkanal and continued along its scheduled route, sources said.
