Hyderabad: Ivanka Trump is to be given a royal welcome and offered a ride in a horse-drawn carriage to the dinner hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for delegates and selected guests to the Global Entrepreneurs Summit 2017, sources said. Some Union ministers and the Chief Ministers of five BJP-ruled states and TS Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, will be attending the dinner at the Taj Faluknuma.
A Nizam-era horse-drawn carriage is being refurbished for Ms Trump, but the management of the Taj Falaknuma, is tight-lipped about details. The Prime Minister will also be received with the usual pomp and conveyed to the Taj Falaknuma Palace Hotel from the main gate in the carriage. On Tuesday, the Special Protection Group (SPG) that is in charge of the Prime Minister’s security took a ride in the buggy.
The horse-drawn carriage is one of the attractions of the Taj Falaknuma Palace Hotel but seldom do international guests opt for the royal welcome. The royal ride option will not be available for other delegates, sources said.
