Hyderabad: Murder accused, burglars arrested, goods seized

Hyderabad: Two burglars were arrested by the Rachakonda police on Monday and stolen goods worth Rs 10.5 lakh were recovered from their possession.

Joint commissioner of police, Rachakonda, Tarun Joshi told mediapersons here that the suspects M. Amar Rajkumar Reddy, 21, and Karamtoth Santosh, 20, were friends and were committing offences since 2010.





They were involved in chain snatching, burglary and automobile theft in Meerpet, Vanasthalipuram and Hayathnagar police station limits. They were earlier arrested and lodged in prison. After their release, the duo had committed nine offences. The duo was involved in three automobile thefts, six burglaries.

Police recovered 28 tolas of gold, 13 tolas of silver and electronic gadgets worth Rs 10.50 lakh from their possession. In another case, autorickshaw driver Bala Subramanyam, 30, hailing from Tamil Nadu was arrested for the death of a 65-year-old woman in March 2016.

Yadamma, who assisted him in the offence, was arrested in June 2016. Subramanyam was absconding since then. The duo had killed a woman and took her jewellery. All the arrested were sent to remand.
