Jana Sena criticised for lauding the CMs

VIJAYAWADA: Jana Sena is facing severe criticism on its political strategies from other political parties as well as from across the state. Netizens are actively discussing why they would need Jana Sena and Mr Pawan Kalyan if the two Chief Ministers of Telugu states were as good as Mr Kalyan had certified. The fact that Mr Pawan Kalyan is acting as a brand ambassador of both the Telugu States’ governments rather than being a viable political alternative is being questioned and ridiculed. Even Jana Sena sympathisers are finding it hard to live down this criticism and are earnestly hoping for changes in the party strategies.
Despite Mr Pawan Kalyan making his stand clear that he is not expecting to become the Chief Minister or coming into power with immediate effect, neither his supporters nor his critics have taken to this stand kindly.
Mr Pawan Kalyan started his political tour as Jana Sena chief from Telangana after praising Telangana Chief Minister Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao and calling him a smart CM much to everyone’s surprise.
Generally, political parties move ahead after pressurising the ruling parties on public issues by holding movements and protests, in protest gaining political mileage themselves. But lauding the government instead of speaking on issues and particularly not recognising the public issues to begin with, had not held the party Jana Sena and its chief, Mr. Pawan Kalyan in good stead.
Even the instances in which Jana Sena had taken on the ruling TD in AP can be counted on the fingers of one hand. In fact the Jana Sena had played a crucial role in bringing the TD to power in the 2014 elections. But Jana Sena didn't gain much political mileage despite its efforts in Uddanam CKD issue which established in public the friendly relationship between Jana Sena and TD.
YSRC leader Mr. Ambati Rambabu said that so far there is no party that is established to criticize the opposition and laud the ruling.
A senior TD leader opined that Mr. Pawan Kalyan was not supportive of the BJP while TD was an ally of the BJP. As such it would be difficult to predict the situation that will prevail in the future.
A close aide of Mr. Pawan Kalyan shared that the political strategies of the party in Andhra Pradesh would be different from the strategies it had in Telangana. Also, Jana Sena did not intend to chart its path ahead by criticizing governments. But, yes, it would take time to play polished politics.
