Telangana: Former minister Aruna takes Nagam case to Rahul Gandhi

Hyderabad: Senior Congress MP Nandi Yellaiah, former minister and senior MLA D.K. Aruna, and MLC K. Damodara Reddy on Thursday met AICC president Rahul Gandhi and discussed the political situation in the state.

Meeting Mr Gandhi together, they briefed him on the party affairs in erstwhile Mahbubnagar district including the possible induction of BJP leader Dr Nagam Janardhan Reddy into the party.

After the meeting, they told mediapersons that they had only called on Mr Gandhi to greet him on his elevation as Congress president. They refused to divulge details of their meeting.

TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy met Mr Gandhi separately and briefed him on the proposed bus yatra by senior party leaders in Telangana state next month. He reportedly discussed the party developments. He too refused to share details with the media.
