TRS criticises Congress for bus yatra

Hyderabad: Members of the TRS criticised the bus yatra being organised by Congress leaders in Telangana. They said the party that had impeded the development of Telangan state for years was organising yatras in the hope of coming to power and duping the people of the state once again.

TRS MLC Karne Prabhakar at a press conference on Wednesday said that the Congress Praja Chaitanya Yatra was, in fact, a padavula yatra (a yatra for posts).

He said that until now the Congress party’s ant-ics and gimmicks had been confined to Gandhi Bhavan, but they had decided to extend their “comedy shows” to the rural areas as well.

Mr Prabhakar said that people would not believe in the Congress leaders – whether they conducted bus yatras, cycle yatras or tractor yatras.

Congress leader Shabbir Ali had challenged Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to order MLAs who had defected from their parties to resign their posts and face bypolls.
