Vijayawada: Highway blockade for SCS a success

Vijayawada: Blocking of national highways programme conducted by AP Prateyka Hoda Sadhana Samiti with the support and involvement of Left Parties, YSRC, Congress and Janasena has been successful in Vijayawada. TDP has also supported the programme. Guntur, Eluru, highways have been blocked for more than two hours and hundreds of vehicles have stalled on the road. CPI State Secretary Ramakrishna, CPM State Secretary Madhu, Pratyeka Hoda Sadhana Samiti leader Sivaji and others have participated in the programme.
At Kanakadurga Vaaradhi, after 10 am, the leaders of Left parties Mr Ramakrishna, Madhu, Y. Venkateswara Rao, YSRC leader Malladi Vishnu, Congress leader K. Sivaji, Janasena leader Potina Mahesh and others have stopped the vehicles coming to Vijayawada and the vehicles going to Guntur. Within half an hour, hundreds of vehicles have been stalled. The leaders and cadre have been pronounced the slogans of “We want Special Status” and against the Narendra Modi and BJP.
After blocking the road, the leaders have played the drums and the cadre have played kabaddi on the road. The leaders have demanded the Government of India to fulfil the Special Status along with all other promises made basing on division of Andhra Pradesh. After two and half hours, the leaders have left the place and the vehicles allowed then onwards on the Kanakadurga Varadhi.
TDP has blocked the Visakha highway at Ramavarappadu under the leadership of Devineni Avinash. He has suggested state BJP leaders to not to support their central leadership, which is causing damage to the state. Kadiyala Butchibabu and other leaders have also participated in the programme. TDP MLA Gadde Rammohan has staged a dharna at Krishnalanka demanding special status and criticised Jagan Mohan Reddy and Pawan Kalyan, for allegedly colluding with the Bhartiya Janata Party.
