Hit-and-run: Cyclist fatally knocked down at CMT Junction in Ashok Nagar

Bengaluru: In a hit-and-run incident, a 20-year-old cyclist died after an unidentified vehicle hit his cycle at CMT Junction in Ashok Nagar on Thursday late night. The deceased has been identified as Sujeeth, a native of Tripura.

He had came to the city a year ago was working at a hotel in Shivaji Nagar. The accident happened around mid-night when Sujeeth was going to his room in Anepalya after work.





As Sujeeth was riding his cycle an unidentified vehicle rammed into his cycle and sped away. Sujeeth who sustained grievous head injuries was rushed to a nearby hospital by the passerby, but he succumbed while undergoing treatment.

The Ashok Nagar traffic police have obtained the CCTV footage from cameras installed at the accident spot and are examining it to identify the vehicle involved in the accident.
