Hyderabad: Boy drowns, swimming pool owner booked

Hyderabad: The owner of a private swimming pool was booked for the death of a 14 year old class VII student, who drowned and died in the pool on Wednesday in Kanchanbagh.

The deceased was identified as Ismail Qureshi, 14, resident of Hafeez Baba nagar and a class VII student. “On Wednesday afternoon, he went to play in a private swimming pool and drowned in there as he did not know how to swim” said inspector N. Shankar. Based on a complaint given by the boy’s father, Mohd Qureshi, a case was booked against the owner of the swimming pool, Mohd Imtiyaz.
