Man caught with live bullets at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old air passenger from Chittoor district in AP, who came to meet his friends in the city, was caught carrying a live ammunition in his baggage at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Saturday night. He was arrested under Arms Act charges.

According to Airport police, Katam Reddy, hailing from Tirupathi had come to the city four days ago to meet his friends. On Saturday night he was flying back to his place. While passing through the security check, security personnel noticed a bullet in his baggage and detained him.




Airport Police booked a case against him under arms act charges. He was arrested and sent to remand.

However, the accused claimed he was unaware of how the bullet was placed in his baggage.
