Rajinikanth wants mandrams to step up membership drive

Chennai: The much awaited political buzz revolving around Rajinikanth’s maiden district functionaries meet lost steam by noon on Thursday as functionaries after attending the meeting from Rajni’s Poes Garden bungalow maintained silence.
A few spoke to the media admitting that their thalaivar wanted to host a mega political rally in Coimbatore and has instructed them to continue the enrolment of members for all booth committees and ensure that the membership reaches all remote areas in the state.
However functionaries maintained that the meeting was constructive where only positive issues related to the development of Mandram were discussed.
“Thalaivar discussed a few crucial political issues, but we cannot reveal them at this juncture, but our leader will soon spell out his political polices and strategies for the state,” quipped a Rajni Mandram office-bearer.
On Wednesday, the actor during the audio launch of film Kaala hinted that there could be further delay in the launch of his political party and finally the much hyped event concluded as a cinema event, where the actor recalled his long term wish of interlinking all south Indian rivers. The forum, formed after Mr Rajinikanth’s announcement in December last year has been buying time despite his political well-wishers screaming out that there is a vacuum in Tamil Nadu politics.
