NTR hitting the road in his Chaitanya Ratham was a common sight during his life time. During every poll time, NTR used to criss cross the state in his vehicle. Nandamuri Harikrishna, his son, was always his driver.



But Harikrishna's family appears to have jinx with the roads. Harikrishna's son Janakiram died in a road mishap. He died on the same Nalgonda highway near Akupamula on December 6. 2014. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he died. Minutes before dying, he gave the contact number of brother Kalyanaram.

Harikrishna too died on the same Nalgonda highway and died in a nearby hospital. Like his son Janakiram, Harikrishna was the wheel and was driving at 160 kmph speed. Janakiram was also driving at 120 kmph at the time of his accident.

Junior NTR, son of Harikrishna, had a providential escape. He too met with an accident on the Nalgonda highway near Suryapet on March 27, 2009. He suffered fractures and had to spend time in hospital.
