I am better than many: Congress MP V Hanumantha Rao

Hyderabad: Senior Congress MP V. Hanumantha Rao on Friday asked the media in which way he is inferior to other leaders of the party in eyeing the PCC president post, presently held by Ponnala Laxmaiah.
“I am a senior Congress worker and leader in the party and also worked as PCC chief earlier. If I want to aspire for the post again, what is wrong in it? There are some leaders who were defeated three times continuously in Assembly elections and were subsequently made MLCs. I am better than them.” Mr Hanumantha Rao claimed.
Responding to BJP national president Amit Shah telling BJP cadres that by 2019 the party should able to come to the top position bypassing the Congress, Mr Rao said it was impossible for the BJP to reach the top position in TS due to its communal politics. He said Telangana has never supported communal forces.
