Director B Jaya Passes Away

Journalist turned film director B. Jaya passed away on Thursday evening. She was battling with health problems from a long time and had breathed her last a few hours ago.

Her husband B.A. Raju is a popular film journalist and PRO for over thousand films.

B. Jaya made films like Chantigadu, Gundammagari Manavadu, Premikulu, and Lovely. Her last film was Vaisakham that released last year.

Jaya did MA in English Literature and Psychology. She started her career as a columnist for Telugu News daily Andhra Jyothy.

She had a passion for filmmaking and made debut as a director with Chantigadu in 2003. She was one of the very few successful lady filmmakers in Telugu film industry.
